He said, “I miss you mum while I’m at school, when I went to Monte it was like going home but going to school is big…. ” I said “One day big school will feel like home just like Monte, you just have to get used to it.“ He replied “No it never will, Monte is a special place to me.”
“I have had 2 children go to Waikanae Montessori and I have been delighted with all the experiences they have had there. From the time I first sat in and enjoyed ‘mat time’ and the children telling news to the concerts, outings and preparation for school, I do not think my children could have had a better introduction to learning and socialising. They have both made great friends there.
The teachers are very friendly and kind and provide an environment that really nurtures a child. It encourages them to be independent and confident human beings.
